CLIMATE activists rang Lloyds of London’s historic Lutine Bell as they crashed a rare public tour of the building for Open House week.

Members of the No New Workers group staged a protest in the building on Saturday, ringing the 18th century bell which was on display and strictly off-limits to the public.

The young activists cited the marketplace’s lack of any mandatory policy over insuring coal and recent net zero U-turns.

A single ring of the bell was used to signal bad news during the height of maritime trade.
