Jorge Rodríguez, the President of Venezuelan National Assembly, met with Harriet Thompson, the director for the Americas at the UK’s Foreign Office, during a visit aimed at restoring diplomatic ties. Rodríguez briefed Thompson on the ongoing political and social dialogues, including the various dialogue tables currently operating in the country.

The President of the National Assembly also highlighted the recent advancements in Venezuela’s petroleum and gas investments, predicting that these developments will lead to significant economic growth. Rodríguez assured that this growth will be achieved through adherence to ongoing processes.

For her part, Acting President Delcy Rodríguez expressed her support for the diplomatic efforts led by Jorge Rodríguez. She thanked him for his efforts in favor of resuming diplomatic relations between Venezuela and the UK, following his recent visit to British territory.
