The Lebanese Army said Wednesday that its military deployment in southern Lebanon can only be completed after a total cessation of hostilities, denouncing 7,700 Israeli violations of the framework agreement since it was signed on June 26.

In a statement, the Lebanese Army condemned a new wave of widespread attacks against residential areas and institutions, which it said caused numerous deaths and injuries in recent days.

Among the most serious episodes, the military report highlighted last Monday’s bombing of Kfar Ruman in the Nabatieh district, which killed 12 people, including four women and two children.

The Lebanese armed forces said Israel’s strategy seeks to deliberately undermine the institution’s operational credibility both nationally and before the international community, hindering its sovereign mandate.

The bilateral pact establishes a road map for the gradual withdrawal of Zionist forces and the progressive deployment of the Lebanese Army in the so-called “pilot zones” occupied during the invasion, though the process currently lacks concrete deadlines.
