At Sunday’s Defensa del Pueblo summit in Oxnard, California, Amazon delivery station worker Samuel Padilla slammed the company’s collaboration with ICE and the US military. Padilla told BT his warehouse team launched a strike last week, fighting for many of the same basic rights and protections communities nationwide are demanding in response to Trump’s ICE terror. “What we want is all those benefits, all that profit to finally be seen in our communities… Instead of going to ICE, why not have that go to schools, go to libraries… Look at what we can do once we have the power.”
