Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodríguez visited this Tuesday a fish processing plant in Anzoátegui, emphasizing the state’s economic potential and industrial transformation.
Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodríguez conducted a visit to the a fish processing plant located in the Maurica sector of Simón Bolívar municipality, Anzoátegui state. The visit was part of a broader effort to engage with the local fishing sector and assess the advancements in the industrial transformation of marine resources.
During her visit, Rodríguez underscored the significant economic potential of Anzoátegui, noting that the state is poised for an economic boom.

“Anzoátegui will experience an economic explosion. We discussed this during our previous visit, and we are committed to delivering on this promise,” she stated.
The Acting President evaluated the development of the value chain and commercialization strategies aimed at boosting the local economy, highlighting the importance of local projects into the national economy.
“Here, with the fishermen and women, we are seeing the “Tejiendo Redes” (“Weaving Networks”) project. As Minister Loyo has said, it’s not just about the project itself, but also about the cold chain, value addition, and commercialization,” Rodríguez explained.

Anzoátegui has shown remarkable growth, with an 86% increase in the fishing sector this year, significantly outperforming the national average of 3% to 5%, an achievement is attributed to the dedication and hard work of local producers.
The economic development in Anzoátegui extends beyond the petroleum industry, diversifying into sectors such as livestock, agriculture, and fishing. This diversification is crucial for the state’s productive economy.
Rodríguez emphasized that the primary goal of these productive policies is to improve the living conditions of the working class, rather than focusing solely on macroeconomic statistics. “The most important thing is not the number. It’s the impact it can have on your lives, on the income of workers, and on the benefits for families,” she stated.

The Venezuelan Acting President also reiterated the government’s commitment to accelerating the nation’s recovery in the face of unilateral coercive measures. “We work tirelessly to speed up the recovery process of our country so that the future is tomorrow, because we want to see great benefits for our nation as soon as possible,” she affirmed.
In addition to her visit to the fish processing plant, Rodríguez’s agenda included the opening of an integral care center for children with autism and neurodiversity, and a recreational space for the elderly people.
