Dr Ali is a healthcare worker standing for Palestine. He grew-up happy in a multi-cultural Brummie community with churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, gurdwaras and mosques that works together. He advocated and has done charitable work throughout life from Birmingham to East Timor, Egypt to Brasil, Dr Ali has worked in NHS England for over 30-years both paid and as a volunteer focusing on children and now the homeless. He strongly believes in equality, healthcare for all and that all life is precious.

Post-whistleblowing against the GMC 2014 and related Public Inquiry, given lifelong-GMC retribution with non-medical-issues; he was democratically elected to genuinely represent over 200,000 British doctors on BMA Council. Given mandate: that the Racist Medical Council is unfit for purpose and the BMA did not (pre-strikes) enough for all doctors. It is clear the overwhelming majority of British doctors stand by the Hippocratic Oath and Geneva-convention thus support Palestinian doctors or are anti-Apartheid.

Having forced BMA change with equality (post-Romney), transparency (removing the Old Guard) and strike policies since 2022, he unfortunately encountered increasing anti-Palestinian racism and silencing including BMA-staff/solicitor-support for UKLFI and over 1,000 AI-written template GMC-complaints against NHS-doctors from 2023. This was discovered when speaking-up to free all hostages and positively for Israeli-doctors that do not want to routinely torture children (in-line with British and World Medical Association policy), concern about crimes against humanity with war specifically targeting healthcare spreading to the UK with third-party corporations, and expressing solidarity to Palestinian doctors innocently murdered, tortured or taken hostage in Apartheid-Israel. This led to multiple prioritised internal and external counter-complaints and his 2023 IHRA-choice motion being censored whilst EDI-staff implemented Zionism training and other incidents publicly broadcast; thankfully now in 2026 ironically given earlier changes implemented and legacy-representatives not being re-elected, now a much stronger anti-IHRA variation is BMA policy bypassing the top-table.
