Just days before the start of the 2026-2027 electoral process, Morena remains the leading political force heading into the renewal of the Chamber of Deputies, while the PAN, PRI, and Movimiento Ciudadano compete for a still-undefined second place.
According to a national in-home survey by Buendía & Márquez, published by El Universal, if the elections were held now, Morena would obtain 35% of preferences. The PAN would reach 11%, followed by the PRI and Movimiento Ciudadano, both with 9%. Further back would be the Partido Verde (Green Party), with 5%, and the Partido del Trabajo (Labor Party), with 2%.

The study also reveals that 28% of those consulted did not express an electoral preference. Excluding this segment, Morena concentrates 48% of the effective preference, against 15% for the PAN, 13% for the PRI, and 12% for Movimiento Ciudadano.
Although Acción Nacional registers the highest estimate among the opposition parties, the difference with respect to the PRI and MC does not make it statistically possible to establish which occupies second place. Nonetheless, its recurrent position in Buendía & Márquez’s measurements suggests a reduced but constant advantage.
The results show a contest marked by Morena’s broad predominance and a fragmented opposition that, so far, has not managed to consolidate a clearly positioned alternative heading into the 2027 federal elections.
