I don’t think trying to collect payment for services rendered is necessarily a problem with him, it’s a problem with the system, where individuals are responsible for paying healthcare. If he can’t recognize the flaws in the system and legislate for universal healthcare, however, THAT does reflect poorly on him, especially with first hand experience with the shortfalls of the current system.

But why would a conservative/regressive choose to fix something instead of whining about it and making it worse?
