“This fight chose me.” Last New Year’s Eve, 43-year-old Keith Porter Jr. was shot and killed by an off-duty ICE agent in LA. Since then, his father Keith Porter Sr. has been fighting alongside other family members who have lost their relatives to ICE, seeking justice. Porter spoke to BT at La Defense del Pueblo summit on how seeing the killings of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston and Joan Sebastián Guerrero in Bedford, Maine made him relive the pain of losing his son again – and why he’s committed to the fightback against ICE.
