The Lebanese Ministry of Health denounced the total destruction of Ghandour Hospital in Nabatieh al-Fawqa following Israeli airstrikes, condemning the direct strike on the medical facility as a grave transgression against international humanitarian protection conventions.
Subject to a constant military siege on the country’s south, the healthcare center had already been inoperative for roughly two months prior to the incident, during which it had primarily served to treat casualties and shelter families dislodged by recent hostilities.
According to official reports, no fewer than 17 hospital centers have sustained severe physical damage from the repeated airstrikes recorded since the start of March, while the intensifying military operations have simultaneously left three other strategic health complexes in the southern provinces out of service.

The air raid on the medical compound occurred in tandem with large-scale incursions across various sectors within the Nabatieh district. Relief agencies put the preliminary casualty count at four fatalities and upwards of twenty wounded individuals.

The Zionist armed forces reported the interception of an unmanned aerial vehicle attributed to local militias, an event that precipitated the deepening of the regional military escalation. Following that incident, military commanders announced the commencement of a renewed offensive phase against southern positions.
Despite a previously signed framework memorandum of understanding that provided for the withdrawal of invading troops, clashes have continued unabated. The persistence of these incursions has effectively blocked the deployment of the Lebanese national army to assume border security control.
