How can we not speak up?” In July, BT received a subpoena from the MAGA-led House Ways and Means Committee, accusing us of being agents of China and demanding our internal communications and financial records. At Sunday’s La Defensa Del Pueblo summit, BT’s editor-in-chief Ben Becker slammed the far-right attacks as a tactic to try and intimidate the movement. He vowed BT would continue speaking up, and that to back down now is to leave the victims of US imperialism “to suffer and die in silence.”
