Mexico City, September 5 (SinEmbargo).—President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced today that construction of the railway project to connect Mexico City (CdMx) with Guadalajara will begin in 2027, during the presentation of her second government report in Jalisco.
She also added that next year construction will begin on the passenger train that will connect the cities of Guadalajara, Jalisco, and León, Guanajuato.
“We are already doing Mexico City–Querétaro, Querétaro-Irapuato, and we are now going to put out to tender Irapuato-León and León-Guadalajara so that construction of the train begins in 2027 and we recover that beautiful means of transport that promotes development,” the president reported from Tlajomulco.

Other works mentioned by Sheinbaum stand out, including the High-Specialty Regional Hospital in Tlajomulco of the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) and a Combined-Cycle Electric Power Plant.
There Is No Division with AMLO, Sheinbaum Says

The Head of State denied on Saturday that there is a division between her and former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), since both represent the same project of transformation of public life that began in 2018.
“Some who write in the newspapers, who speak on television, on the radio, who write on social media, say there is a division between López Obrador and the President. I tell them, commentocrats, that this is false: we are the same project that is with the people of Mexico, the project of the fourth transformation of Mexico’s public life. Out of conviction and because that is what the people of Mexico want. Profound changes,” the president asserted before some 15,000 Jalisco residents gathered in the Vicente Fernández arena in Guadalajara.
The head of the federal Executive emphasized during her tour of Jalisco that Mexico is an independent and sovereign country, not a colony or protectorate of any other nation, after giving a historical review of the heroines and heroes of the country’s history.
“Our country’s wealth has always been coveted, but the people of Mexico, always with their heroes, with their heroines, have known how to defend our sovereignty. That is why on September 1, when I closed my speech, I said: for us the people are the path and the destiny of our government,” she detailed.
Sheinbaum Pardo shared with the audience the achievements her administration has managed to implement in the state for the benefit of the population. During the presentation of the results of her Second Government Report in Jalisco, she highlighted advances in security, the economy, infrastructure, housing, education, health, social justice, energy, and social programs.
