Over 1.4 million Cuban students returned to school this Monday, despite constant blackouts. The last school year ended early due to power outages and harsh conditions brought by the US fuel blockade. But in Cuba, education is both a right and a duty – and everyone from the government to teachers and parents are making every effort to make sure it’s guaranteed for children.
