“I don’t think I’ve ever been frightened like that before." ICE detained British far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos at the New Orleans airport on Thursday after he’d overstayed his visa and failed to report for his immigration hearing, according to DHS. The former Breitbart editor and enthusiastic supporter of Trump’s anti-immigration crackdown told Piers Morgan he “didn’t understand” the “institutionalized brutality” with which US immigration enforcement agents operate, as he described his encounter with ICE agents that resulted in his deportation to the UK on August 29. Yiannopoulos became known for his defense of the white nationalist movement during Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign, before video surfaced online of him making comments condoning the abuse of minors caused his book deal to collapse — along with his invitation to headline CPAC and his job at Breitbart. Yiannopoulos posted on social media as recently as last year, “We have got to deport millions and millions of people. Without that, nothing else matters.”
