Tomahawk missiles struck Konarak and may have caused explosions in Chabahar, Bandar Abbas and Qeshm.
On Tuesday, the U.S. military bombed Iran for the second time in a week amid rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

“Today at 12 p.m. ET, U.S. forces began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran,” U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated on social media.
“The strikes follow recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members deployed to the region,” it added.
Local media reported that Tomahawk missiles launched from ships struck Konarak and may have caused explosions in Chabahar, Bandar Abbas and Qeshm. Missiles may also have been launched from Bahrain.
US military bases in the region have been placed on high alert.
IRGC is expected to retaliate against US military bases and assets in the region in response to ongoing American strikes. against Iran.

The previous night, President Donald Trump warned that U.S. forces would carry out retaliatory strikes against Iran for attacking U.S. forces in Jordan. “We are going to hit them hard. There will be a response,” he said, according to Fox.
Earlier, between Sunday night and early Monday, U.S. forces killed three Iranians during an attack on Larak, an island near the strategic Iranian port of Bandar Abbas. According to CENTCOM, Tehran was preparing to launch rockets loaded with naval mines from there into the Strait of Hormuz.
In response to the attack on Larak, Iran launched attacks against U.S. bases in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, marking the first exchange of military hostilities in a month.
Since the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran began on Feb. 28, the Strait of Hormuz has become a scene of geopolitical dispute, with Trump threatening to declare the maritime passage U.S. territory.
