Damascus, Sept 1 (Prensa Latina) At least five people died after a car exploded in the city of Binnish, in the province of Idlib, in northwestern Syria, official sources reported.

The Syrian state television channel Al-Ikhbariya, citing the Idlib Health Directorate, indicated that the death toll had risen to five, although it did not specify the number of wounded.

Hours earlier, the official SANA news agency had reported, based on data from the Idlib Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate, an initial toll of two dead and five wounded, and specified that the incident resulted from the explosion of a vehicle loaded with ammunition.
