WELSH nationalists said today that they are ready to work with Prime Minister Andy Burnham to turn “warm words on devolution into action.”

Plaid Cymru MPs have written to Mr Burnham calling for a constructive relationship to advance devolution to Wales.

The party has long campaigned for more powers over policing, the Crown Estate and rail infrastructure, and those calls were outlined in the letter.

The party said when the Prime Minister visited Wales last week he made it clear that he was open to devolving policing to Wales.
