Keir Starmer will step down as MP, he told his local newspaper. Now the nation can breathe a sigh of relief.

Keir Starmer has announced he will step down as MP for Holborn and St Pancras.

The ‘long-time servant of the UK security state‘ told the Camden New Journal it had been a “huge honour and privilege’ to “represent the…constituency”.

Locals will be asking when that happened as opposed to representing Israel’s interests and waging war on UK rights, but there you go.

However, the news is not all good.

Starmer said he will now focus on “defence [and] security”, making the UK and the world even less safe.

He ex-prime minister also claimed he will “continue” his supposed fight against violence against women and girls. He spent his time as leader of the opposition and prime minister covering up for abusers and rapists.

The date for a by-election to replace Britain’s worst prime minister in modern history has not yet been announced. However, local people are likely to clamour for Andrew Feinstein to stand again after he slashed more than 18,000 votes from Starmer’s majority in 2024.
