Video from an August 19 traffic stop in Blytheville shows Arkansas State Trooper Theodore Henderson pulling 23-year-old passenger Tedrick Washington, Jr. out of the smashed rear passenger window of an SUV by his dreadlocks, before punching him in the face twice. Henderson claimed in the incident report that Washington was “posturing up” and that he was acting in self defense, though eyewitness video shows Washington had raised both hands before Henderson used his baton to break the window. The vehicle’s driver was charged with felony fleeing, resisting arrest, and DWI. No disciplinary action against Henderson has been announced.
