
Over the last week, Russian forces have also liberated communities in Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk.
On Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that its forces launched a solid-fuel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. As expected, the training warheads impacted the Kura test range in Kamchatka.

The Strategic Missile Forces also practiced redeploying the launch battery of a ground-based mobile missile system to a remote area.
The objective of the launch was to confirm the tactical, technical, and flight characteristics of the missile system, the Russian Defense Ministry stated.
This ICBM combat training exercise occurred one day after the visit of the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency to Moscow.

Russia Liberates Communities in Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk
During the week of August 22-28, Russian forces made significant advances on the battlefield. The Northern Combat Group took control of the towns of Pershe Travnya and Pisarevka in the Sumy region, while the Central Combat Group liberated the towns of Annovka and Kucherov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Combat Group liberated the towns of Dolinka, Nezhenka, and Shevchenkovskoye in the Zaporozhye region, Russian military authorities indicated.
In the last seven days, the Russian Armed Forces also launched a massive attack and 12 combined attacks using precision weapons and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Their targets included Ukrainian military, metallurgical, and oil refining industries; logistics centers, fuel, energy, and transportation infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army; military airfields, workshops for the production of UAVs and their components, and ammunition; fuel, and equipment depots, and areas of temporary deployment of Ukrainian soldiers and foreign mercenaries.
