Fernando Cerimedo was involved in political operations in Honduras, El Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.
On Thursday, former Colombian President Gustavo Petro called for a complaint to be filed before the United Nations over the systematic and massive violation of citizens’ political rights caused by Fernando Cerimedo.

Recently revealed information indicates that the far-right political consultant, who is currently detained in Bolivia for attempted femicide, was involved in electoral fraud operations in Honduras, El Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.
Among other electoral manipulation actions, Cerimedo maintained contact with Javier Negre, a Spanish far-right agitator and director of the digital media outlet La Derecha Diario.
Bolivian police have raided the home of known US asset, Fernando Cerimedo.

Petro recalled this connection through the following message posted on X:
“Through the forensic information from Cerimedo’s phone, the co-constructor of the matrix of lies in Latin America, his relationship with Colombian officials is discovered.
My first thesis is confirmed: There was massive manipulation of Colombian voters. We already know that it was carried out through 2 million bots, fake profiles managed by automated farms from various points around the planet, from Miami, and especially from one location, about which I informed the national police director, but which the Medellin police apparently did not want to control.
The mental manipulation of voters is already an offense established in our electoral code, and criminal proceedings must be opened in Colombia against Negre and Cerimedo.
I had already denounced the existence of a financing fund with money from the mafia and public funds from Medellin that financed the owners of bot farms in Miami. Palacios and his Italian partner must be investigated in the United States, Italy and Colombia.
The Attorney General’s Office must choose the truth. Today it knows that it was falsely threatened with the OFAC list, as they did with me. However, its duty to the people is to pursue crime.
If we have courageous justice, the elections in Colombia, solely because of the massive manipulation of voters that constrained their vote, should be annulled.

The text reads, “Now the sudden streak of victories by right-wing candidates in South America makes sense: In at least 8 out of 12 countries Fernando Cerimedo and Javier Negre of the Derecha Diario put their hands in the elections.”
