On Thursday, the Spanish Liga F and the Paulista Football Federation (FPF) signed an alliance in São Paulo to promote women’s football.

The agreement, formalized at the event “Day F: Legacy and Future of Women’s Football,” aims to professionalize women’s football, foster technical cooperation, and develop social projects.

The Brazilian FPF has had a dedicated department since 2016 and, by 2025, had organized eleven competitions with 500 matches and 140 teams.

The collaboration includes courses, workshops, research, and technical visits, as well as joint initiatives to accelerate the growth of women’s football in both countries.

Estádio do Maracanã will become only the third stadium to host both a #FIFAWorldCup and #FIFAWWC Final next year.

Liga F President Beatriz Alvarez emphasized that the agreement will “build a bridge” of knowledge and opportunities between Spain and Brazil.

FPF President Reinaldo Carneiro stated that the alliance is a source of pride and an opportunity for learning in women’s football.

The FPF organizes the Paulistão F, and Liga F manages the top Spanish league, strengthening international cooperation and sporting development.
