Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, chaired a Council of Ministers meeting Wednesday at Miraflores Palace to assess housing and public-service recovery two months after the double seismic event that struck the country on June 24.

More than 13,000 buildings have been intervened and 66,000 people have benefited under the Venezuela Renace Plan, which is focused on comprehensive housing rehabilitation and restoration of public services. The government ratified its housing protection plan target of 4,000 homes for 2026. Of that total, 377 units have already been delivered.

During the initial emergency response, more than 100 transitional camps were installed and temporary spaces were set up at the Poliedro de Caracas and the Monumental Stadium. The deployment involved organized citizens, rescue agencies and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

The government’s balance also includes loans to condominium boards and property owners, as well as purchase plans in the secondary market.

On economic and security actions, the executive highlighted the call for the Second National Popular Consultation on Oct. 18, the elimination of urban police checkpoints to implement smart patrolling, the simplification of administrative procedures and the development of digital services. These measures aim to consolidate tranquility, security and stability through the 14 productive engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda, in alliance with the business sector, entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized producers.
