The Israel’s occupation intensified its attacks on villages and towns across southern Lebanon on Tuesday, striking Markaba, Mansouri, Yater, Bint Jbeil and Majdal Zoun with artillery and drones.
The bombardment came hours after rescue teams recovered the bodies of two 17 year old residents who had disappeared on Sunday near Kfar Rumman.
An explosion shook Markaba while warplanes attacked Mansouri after a drone dropped a sound bomb over Yater. Blasts also hit a village in the Bint Jbeil district following a detonation on the outskirts of Majdal Zoun. Fires were ignited between the municipality of Haris and the city of Haddatha.

Israeli artillery carried out a series of detonations in Mays al-Jabal, Ainata and Zawtar al-Sharqiya after a house was blown up near Haris. The same forces bombarded Mansouri in a separate strike.
The attacks represent a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement signed in June 2026 with United States mediation. Under that accord, Israel committed to withdrawing its forces from specific zones in southern Lebanon. Instead of withdrawing, the zionist occupation has expanded its operations.
The aggression against Lebanon resumed on March 2, after the United States and Israel launched unprovoked attacks against Iran. Since that date, Israel’s war machine has killed 4,350 Lebanese and wounded 12,310 more, according to figures cited in the report.

Ceasefire Violated Again
The pattern on Tuesday was consistent with what southern Lebanon has endured for months. Villages near the border receive fire almost daily, and the June document has done little to protect them.
The town by town account shows the geographic spread. Markaba, Mansouri, Yater, Bint Jbeil, Majdal Zoun, Mays al-Jabal, Ainata and Zawtar al-Sharqiya all came under fire in a single day. Homes were demolished and farmland burned in the assault.
On Monday, a day before the new barrage, rescue teams recovered the bodies of two minors, Hussein Shukrun and Ahmed Roumani, both 17 years old and both residents of Deir Zahrani. The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health confirmed that the two had been attacked by an Israeli aircraft while riding a motorcycle through the Kfar Rumman area. They had disappeared on Sunday.
The recovery came on the same day the occupation launched other attacks across the south. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported bombings against Taybeh in the Marjeyun district, as well as new strikes and fires that destroyed homes and agricultural fields in the town of Jiam.
Lebanese authorities have documented the violations, yet the mechanisms of the June agreement have not stopped the daily strikes. The withdrawal commitment remains unfulfilled, and the civilian toll keeps climbing.

The figures speak for themselves. 4,350 dead, 12,310 wounded, and a ceasefire that has not halted the bombardment. For the people of southern Lebanon, the agreement exists on paper while the artillery continues to fire from the other side of the border.
The next stage depends on whether the guarantors of the accord, including the United States, press Israel to comply with its terms. Nothing in Tuesday’s events suggests that pressure is coming.
