Higher Education 2026: More Options for Continuing EducationThe Mexican government unveiled the Higher Education 2026 Platform, which offers 37,503 available spaces for students. Young people will be able to search for options by major and proximity to their homes, with no entrance exams or fees.

My Right, My Place: From Exclusion to the Right to ChooseWithout the Comipems entrance exam, 74.2% of young people were admitted to their first-choice program in upper secondary level education, compared to 26.2% in 2024. The model is already in place in 17 states. President Claudia Sheinbaum emphasized that “this is known as inclusion—a stand against exclusion and the ‘rejected’ as these students were once called.”
