Both leaders examined community support initiatives and exchanges in health care, highlighting the work of the Field Medical Hospital deployed in Miranda state following the June 24 earthquakes.
Rodriguez and Mottley seek to continue bilateral proposals focused on shared agricultural production, the potential development of energy projects, increased air service frequencies, and the strengthening of maritime and tourism trade between the two Caribbean nations.
Their meeting was attended by the Venezuelan ministerial team, made up of ministers Hector Rodriguez (Social and Territorial Socialism), Felix Plasencia (Foreign Affairs), Vladimir Padrino Lopez (Agriculture), Daniella Cabello (Tourism), Paula Henao (Hydrocarbons), Juan Loyo (Fisheries), and Francisco Garces (Transportation).
They were joined by the Barbadian delegation, headed by Christopher P. Sinckler, Foreign Affairs Minister, Aquinas J. Clarke, ambassador to Venezuela, and Brig. Gen. Carlos Lovell, chief of staff of the Barbados Defence Force.
