The text reads, “For 65 years, the #Uneac has been an open house to #Cubanculture and a space for the articulation of our intellectuals, where writers, artists, and thinkers committed to defending our roots and national values come together.”
Regarding the program, Yanetsy Ariste, vice president of the Hermanos Saíz Association in the region, explained that spaces such as “Literary Tunes,” “Tell Me a Story: The Story Behind the Book,” and “I Bring Your Words” are returning to the House of the Young Creator (in spanish Casa del Joven Creador).
The event includes the return of gatherings like ¡Como pan caliente! (Like Hotcakes!), hosted by Alberto Peraza Ceballos, and the Poets’ Courtyard (in spanish Patio de los Poetas). The public will enjoy documentaries and films in the Carlos Manuel community center.
As a distinctive feature, the El Valle rum factory and the Francisco Donatién tobacco factory, along with the Niñita Valdés tobacco stripping plant, will serve as satellite venues for the Book Fair, decentralizing the cultural offerings in the region.
