Speaking to Michael Walker on Novara Live on Monday, Malone argued that as an independent media organisation, Novara ought to have taken a more critical and anti-racist view of the story. Malone, a regular guest co-host on Novara Live, avoided discussing the Jason Arday story in public until after his death, except to criticise the level of media attention it was receiving.
