A new AI-driven tool detects marine wildlife in luggages and bags at airports. The tool can detect sea cucumbers, sea horses and shark fins, with more species to be added to the tool. While human inspection is still needed to verify the findings, the researchers hope the tool will serve as a second set of eyes to keep track of the trade.
