The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change explained that this compilation is the result of deliberations by the working group on environment, which culminated in the creation of four collaborative knowledge products.

The Indian governmental institution leading the meeting stated that the compendium serves as a repository of collective knowledge, bringing together exemplary case studies from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

It also documents how member countries convey the concept of sustainable lifestyles into practical action through policy innovation, environmental education, community engagement, sustainable consumption and production, circular economy approaches, ecosystem restoration, clean energy transitions, and green development programs.

BRICS senior officials discussed key priorities regarding the environment, climate change, and sustainable development.
