- As of 24 June 2026, 4 091 ha of cropland, equivalent to 27.2 percent, were accessible. Of this, only 448 ha, or approximately 3.0 percent, were both accessible and undamaged, compared with 601 ha, or approximately 4.0 percent, in October 2025. This represents a decrease of 153 ha, or 25.5 percent, with the largest declines in available cropland recorded in Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis.
But the total amount of damage is 90% cropland and 80% greenhouses.

The damage was all done 2+ years ago and the longer that passes the harder it will be to remediate. So think the article kind of buries the lede.
