Javani made the statements to the Young Journalists Club, a media outlet linked to Iranian state television, during a meeting dedicated to analyzing the latest events related to the conflict.

The official insisted that the end of hostilities must adhere to the terms of the memorandum reached with Washington.

He also indicated that the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened until the United States fulfills the obligations stipulated in said understanding.

Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum on freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz on June 18, although its implementation remains stalled due to disagreements over security conditions in this strategic waterway.
