The strategy includes countering aircraft, missiles and drones, as well as attacks on strategic facilities.
On Monday, the Bild newspaper reported that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has developed the “NATO Land Warfighting Concept,” an official game plan in the event of an armed conflict with Russia.

“The concept was developed under the leadership of U.S. Major Andrew Pingray. In the first stage, NATO intends to focus on countering fighter jets, missiles, and drones — carrying out strikes primarily in the Kaliningrad region,” the TASS news agency explained.
“At the same time, in the event of a conflict, an ‘autonomous zone’ is to be established along the border with Belarus and Russia, where only drones and autonomous military equipment would operate,” it added.
The next phase in the NATO plan would consist of attacks on strategic facilities in Russian territory, such as military facilities, supply points, airfields, military factories, bridges and railway stations.
Bild reports that NATO has developed a military response concept to any possible Russian assault on the Baltic states that would include attacks on Kaliningrad and strikes deep inside Russia.

“The Alliance intends to deliver UAVs and robots deep into Russia by air. According to Bild, strikingly, NATO is not keeping its plans a secret,” TASS reported.
“The Russian side has repeatedly refuted the West’s insinuations about an alleged threat from the Russian Federation and has noted that such claims are used solely to militarize Europe with the goal of waging war on Russia,” it recalled.
Previously, on May 25, the outlet Defence Index had reported that NATO’s eastern flank was being rebuilt into a high-readiness warfighting machine.
“Poland is rapidly transforming into a central hub of NATO land power, with multiple high-readiness corps now operating on its territory… With NATO corps headquarters concentrated in Poland and continuous multinational exercises underway, the country is becoming a critical operational backbone for the alliance’s eastern defense posture,” it stated.
“Officials describe the shift as continuous modernization driven by lessons from ongoing global conflicts, with further certification exercises scheduled in upcoming NATO training cycles. The message from commanders is clear: readiness is no longer static, it is a permanent state of continuous development,” Defence Index concluded.
