In another sign that there are no bounds to ‘Israeli’ efforts to seek novel forms of cruelty, the apartheid entity’s security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has gloated over the arrest of a bride and groom on their wedding day.
In heartbreaking footage posted by the war criminal, the couple trudge in suit and wedding dress through the gates of a police station on what should have been the happiest day of their lives. However, as victims in an apartheid society, Palestinians don’t get to enjoy these moments in the way people in a free society might.
The Zionist thug masquerading as a politician accused them of causing “intentional traffic jams and disruption to traffic“.
He continued:
Whoever thinks they can drive however they want on the Negev [Naqab] roads – let them keep thinking that!
In a separate incident, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) raided a wedding party in the West Bank town of al-Eizariya. Footage shows the terrorists pointing rifles at guests and slamming people against the wall. The sound of what appear to be stun grenades can also be heard.
So-called ‘Israel’: a society so deranged it is now beyond satire
Ben-Gvir’s display of sadism is nothing new, but Zionist politicians have been ramping up their barbarism credentials ahead of the upcoming election. ‘Defence’ minister Israel Katz produced a video for his candidacy, showing criminal IOF bombardment of civilian areas alongside an upbeat soundtrack featuring a singer repeating a chorus of ‘Boom boom’.
If one were creating a satire of a future fascist dystopia in the vein of Starship Troopers, such material would be rejected on the grounds it’s too far-fetched. But in so-called ‘Israel’, where 66% are right-wing and 47% of the population support genocide, this stuff is just conventional election campaigning.
Not to be outdone, Ben-Gvir himself launched into a hideously racist, openly genocidal rant on an ‘Israeli’ podcast. Referring to Gaza, he told the host:
This is our reconstruction and their destruction.
I think targeted eliminations should be in Gaza every night, take out 30 or 40. Not just those who are an immediate threat to you. No, there are people there who are not human beings. They don’t need to live. They are not people, I’m doing them a favour by calling them people.
Needless to say, the IOF don’t do targeted eliminations. They do acts of mass murder, killing tens of thousands of Palestinian children. Referring to people as “not human beings” is the standard language of the genocidaire. Nazis characterised Jewish people as “vermin”. Hutu politicians referred to Tutsis as “cockroaches” during the Rwandan genocide.
Ben-Gvir went on:
In my imagination, I see all of Gaza [as ours]. Settlements, not just in Gush Katif, but throughout all of Gaza. Encourage immigration as much as possible, send them to their [other Arab] countries. And the terrorists – no migration, no nothing. Kill them one by one.
This is a straightforward call for ethnic cleansing, a war crime. He concluded by mockingly using the Islamic term “Insha’Allah”, and repeating his criminal threats.
Insha’Allah, as soon as possible, we will enter all of Gaza, we will settle all of Gaza, we will encourage immigration, and I’ll say it again – every night we need to take down 30, 40, 50 terrorists in Gaza, as much as possible.
No more pretending it’s just Ben-Gvir — sanction ‘Israel’ now
Britain has attempted to dodge meaningful action against the Tel Aviv terror regime by punishing only individuals like Ben-Gvir — rather than applying sanctions to the Zionist pseudo-state itself. In announcing the moves against the Jewish Power party politician, Uk government referenced “extremist settlers”, suggesting a fringe element of ‘Israeli’ society.
Yet settlers driving Palestinians off their land are merely the tip of the spear for the ‘Israeli’ government’s policy of ethnic cleansing and land theft. IOF troops and settlers work hand in hand — the settlers violently drive Palestinians from their homes, and the IOF will be there “accompanying and protecting” them.
Such policies are denying Palestinians the basics of life, such as fuel and water. There is only so long this people can tolerate such conditions before the racist settler-colony drives them out of Palestine completely.
We lament historic acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing, like that carried out by European colonisers against the indigenous people of North America. Lament is all we can really do now in that case — a hopeless musing like “Isn’t that sad”.
Despite the extermination and dispossession of Palestinians being livestreamed to us daily, we are nonetheless approaching the “Isn’t that sad” stage of this ongoing horror. Preventing that outcome means redoubling all our efforts to ensure our politicians do more than simply single out the likes of the vile Ben-Gvir.
The issue is the criminal Zionist entity in its entirety, which must face crushing sanctions now, before Palestinians are simply another footnote in the litany of European and US colonial crimes.
