Fight Back News Service is circulating the following statement from the Committee to Stop FBI Repression (CSFR).

On August 11 the FBI visited an Orlando activist, asking questions about Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) and its leadership. It’s clear that this is a part of a pattern of ongoing state repression that began in 2010, when more than 70 FBI agents took part in a series of coordinated raids that were aimed at activists of the anti-war international solidarity movements, and also members of FRSO.

These agents are sniffing around, looking for people who will talk to them and help them do their work. As ever, their aim is to infiltrate and destroy our movements. The Trump administration has made it abundantly clear that they are pushing that agenda hard. No good has ever come from activists or communities talking to the FBI.

When an agent knocks, don’t talk to them. If you are approached while working, or your employer brings you to speak with agents, don’t talk to them there either. You should ask them to identify themselves, confirm your identity, let them know you are not interested in talking to them, and ask them to leave. The less words spoken the better. We want them banging their heads on a wall of silence.

There’s no casual conversation or question you can answer that won’t be twisted and used against you or others in the movement.

Don’t talk to the FBI.
