One time this guy was visiting in the Middle East. He found himself in an encampment, and because of the local’s hospitality, was invited in and engaged in conversing with the Sheik. With food, and tea, etc. At some point in the discussion, a camel sticks it’s nose under the edge of the tent, whereupon the Sheik grabs a riding crop and whacks the crap out of the camel’s nose. Of course the camel withdraws immediately. Somewhat shocked our traveler asks what that was all about. The Sheik answers, “If one let’s the nose of the camel into the tent, it’s not long before the whole camel will try to enter.”
