    For starters it’s an article in 2026, talking about a study from 2024. And conflates global warming awareness with heat awareness.

    After this summer I don’t think anyone is unaware of the risks of heat and smoke and drought.

    edit: did some digging. it’s not a real survey, it’s an estimate of what they think people think.

    “The estimates are derived from a statistical model using multilevel regression with post-stratification (MRP) on a large national survey dataset, along with demographic and geographic population characteristics.”

      You’d be wrong about people being aware. I’ve seen people jogging in 150+ AQI from fires and most people not wearing masks.

      People are very blissfully unaware.

      But yeah, a real survey would be a much better source of information.
