Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodriguez launched Thursday the Integral Economic Reactivation Plan in La Guaira, delivering 1,766 loans to merchants, entrepreneurs and families affected by the June 24 double earthquake.


From Catia La Mar, the Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodriguez announced the start of the Integral Economic Reactivation Plan, which will develop in a first stage of credit allocation to address the zones affected by the seismic doublet in the coastal entity.

The central strategy aims to restore the supply of basic inputs and re-boost the local productive apparatus, with attention to five priority areas: support for the commercial sector, inclusion and bankarization, reorganization of the César Nieves Market, assistance to beach service providers, and a temporary employment plan for families located in shelters or transition camps.

In this phase, Acting President Rodriguez delivered 1,766 financings directed to merchants, entrepreneurs, tourism service providers and families in vulnerable situations, with the purpose of accelerating economic recovery in the entity.

The credits represent a concrete response to the emergency generated by the seismic event of June 24, which affected commercial activity and the productive fabric of La Guaira, which also extends to other states affected by the seismic event, allows small entrepreneurs to restart their operations and reincorporate workers into the productive dynamic.
