La Guaira state has rehabilitated 3,938 homes with non-structural damage through the recovery phase of the Venezuela Rises plan, 41 days after the seismic doublet recorded on June 24.
The Governor José Alejandro Terán confirmed this Tuesday the figures during an inspection of work executed at the urban development, where he announced the start of geotechnical studies to evaluate the construction of three new buildings destined for affected families.
The intervened homes were classified with yellow habitability condition, corresponding to buildings that present no structural failures but do show masonry damage requiring repair to ensure their use.

The housing fund rehabilitation actions integrate the second stage of the Venezuela Rises plan, deployed alongside the comprehensive care provided to more than 12,000 families sheltered in 28 temporary camps enabled in the entity after the emergency.
Reconstruction and Development Phase
As part of the third phase of the plan, focused on reconstruction and social development, geology specialists are conducting soil studies at the urban development to determine the technical feasibility of building three new structures. The results of the geological analyses will be delivered to the Ministry of Popular Power for Habitat and Housing to define whether the terrain allows expanding the complex’s housing capacity and providing definitive solutions to affected families.
During the tour, Governor Terán collected requests from residents interested in joining productive initiatives at the end of the recovery works. In response, the national government projects promoting entrepreneurship programs and job generation linked to the reconstruction process in the entity, maintaining rehabilitation, reconstruction, and development work simultaneously.
The Venezuela Rises plan thus advances through a comprehensive strategy that combines immediate emergency response, housing rehabilitation, and medium-term reconstruction, with La Guaira as one of the most affected regions after the seismic events of June 24.
