Keiko Fujimori’s Foreign Minister Carlos Espá and Zionist Foreign Minister Gideon Saar held a telephone conversation on Monday to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and opportunities for cooperation between Peru and Israel.

The talks centered on potential collaboration in combating transnational organized crime and managing water resources.

The Israeli Embassy in Peru, for its part, shared a translation of a post that Saar made on his social media, in which he stated that he had a “good conversation” with Espá and congratulated him on the position he assumed on July 28, wished him “much success in his new role,” and invited him to visit Israel.

“We agreed to meet in the near future to continue advancing our bilateral relations,” he concluded.

Saar also highlighted the potential for expanding ties with Latin America.
