Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro this Monday presented evidence of an algorithmic and systematic electoral fraud that allegedly altered the results of seven million votes to impose Abelardo de la Espriella as elected-President.
During a press conference before national and international media, the Colombian President expanded on the complaints previously posted on his official channels regarding the manipulation of the recent elections.
Gustavo Petro rejected the legitimacy of De la Espriella’s election and stated that the alteration violates the Constitution and the country’s national sovereignty.

The head of State indicated that the main irregularity lies in the elimination of security locks, known as hash codes, on the E-14 forms uploaded to the electoral system. He explained that the PDF documents became modifiable files after the end of voting, breaking international treaties and national laws.
“The 120,000 electoral documents do not have the hash security lock to prevent them from being modified. The Registrar lied to the citizens by saying there was a lock: it is a simple code to detect each form, not a mechanism that prevents its modification,” he emphasized.

Text reads: “For the first time, electoral fraud is developed from the handling of software and algorithms. The message to the world is that any choice can be manipulated through such software. The business is to bring down democracy and popular sovereignty. Colombia is not the first case; there are already five cases of election manipulation with Israeli software, according to what the press reports,” said the President @PetroGustavo during his statements to national and international media.”
Petro stated that the National Registry deceived citizens by presenting alphanumeric codes as protection measures, when they only served to identify the forms. He also denounced the entity’s failure to comply with the ruling issued by the Council of State in 2018, which ordered that the electoral software should be state property and not manipulable by external or private actors.
The Colombian President detailed the consolidation of a citizen oversight made up of 70,000 people and a digital front with 1,000 computer experts. This team analyzed 1,350 polling stations and applied statistical methods such as the runs test to evaluate the behavior of the votes.
The analyses reportedly showed a predetermined mathematical pattern instead of the random behavior typical of human voting. The investigation detected municipalities where the electoral census exceeded the total resident population and atypical polling stations with direct alteration of votes.

Text reads: “The first certainty that the people must have is that Ivan Cepeda won the presidency, that the elections were stolen from them by wealthy Israelis led by a genocidal and did so from abroad by modifying the vote in 1665 electoral posts already detected. They acted on almost two million votes of the citizenry by changing them. The places were where they secured tables with jurors of their own and without electoral witnesses of the Pact to whom they previously moved, in Antioquia, Bogotá and Norte de Santander…”
Sovereignty at Risk
Petro affirmed that the logistics and financing of this fraud involved foreign resources and interests, maintaining that the National Electoral Council lacks the technical tools to identify these anomalies in the software.
The President concluded that the alteration of the popular will constitutes the loss of national sovereignty and plunges the country into a severe constitutional crisis. He assured that all the data collected by the digital civic network will be transferred to the corresponding judicial instances.
“We are dealing with fraud, a deeply serious institutional problem and it is the possession of an illegitimate President,” Petro affirmed.
The allegations place the spotlight on the transparency of Colombia’s electoral system and open a new chapter of institutional tension in the country.
The accusations against the National Registry, combined with the government’s insistence on foreign interference, could trigger an international review of the electoral process. Meanwhile, the judicial authorities face the challenge of verifying the technical evidence presented by the presidential team, in a scenario where confidence in the democratic institutions of Colombia is at stake.
