The foreign ministry of Venezuela and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic officially announced the reactivation of their diplomatic ties after concluding a series of high-level technical conversations.

The initial phase of this new joint process will focus primarily on the full reestablishment of consular assistance services for the population.
The resumption of activities in the consular representations of Caracas and Santo Domingo will allow the regular processing of passports, visas, and legal certifications to guarantee citizen rights.
The joint plan contemplates the definitive return of official delegates to their respective government headquarters in accordance with the bilateral schedule previously agreed upon between the interested parties.
