Construction has begun on 1,875 housing units for families affected by the June 24 double earthquake in La Guaira state, as part of the Venezuela Reborn Plan, according to Jorge Rodríguez, president of the General Staff for the Creation of Transitional Camps and Housing.

The official confirmed that five plots have been identified, with three ready for work, following geophysical studies to ensure safety.

Rodríguez stated that the homes will be built at the fastest possible pace to restore housing for those who lost their homes, following orders from Acting President Delcy Rodríguez.

The Venezuela Renborn Fund will subsidize 80% of properties up to $70,000, with families covering the remaining 20% through a 25-year loan. For homes valued between $70,000 and $100,000, the subsidy covers 50%, with the balance financed similarly.

The terraces are located in Catia La Mar and Catamare areas, with all geological, engineering, and architectural studies completed to certify their safety. Three of the five verified areas are ready to begin construction.
