Madison, Wisconsin, U.S.
How did you get involved with anti-war activism and World BEYOND War (WBW)?
I first connected with the WBW-Madison Chapter through their Madison-Rafah Sister City Project and weekly vigils protesting the genocide in Palestine in summer 2025.
What kinds of WBW activities do you work on?
Currently I’m co-leading the War Tax Resistance (WTR) working group. We’ve held two very successful events this spring to spread the message about WTR. We are focusing on introducing new people to War Tax Resistance, its recent history and how it can be used to fund local mutual aid.
What’s your top recommendation for someone who wants to get involved with anti-war activism and WBW?
It’s easier in some locations than others to join a group doing anti-war work. In some cases, it’s necessary to start something yourself or with a small group. Reaching out to the folks at WBW is a good place to start for group organizing or hosting an event.
What keeps you inspired to advocate for change?
I’m inspired by the hope I see others express when they come together for anti-war efforts. I love seeing people realize they are not alone in their anti-war views. I find it inspiring how committed many activists are and how they have built support systems for each other.
