Lineker: “Biggest absurdity”
Speaking to Palestine Deep Dive alongside writer Afua Hirsch, Lineker described the terror ban on the group as “the biggest absurdity”. Lineker derided the state’s targeting of “little old ladies [as] terrorists” and insisted that “these are not terrorist organisations”. Hirsch agreed:
“What we’ve become”
The pair, speaking to Palestine Deep Dive’s Ahmed Alnaouq and Hala Hanina, also pointed out the cost and dangers of speaking up for Palestine in a country that is determined to criminalise solidarity. Alnaouq has lost dozens of family members to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
