FRENCH authorities ordered the evacuation of the entire Cap Ferret peninsula (Lege-Cap Ferret) in the south-west of France today as a wildfire continued to rage.
This comes as around 700 firefighters battled the blaze that has raged in the Gironde region since Tuesday.
Around 20,000 people were evacuated from towns and vacation resorts along the French Atlantic coast on Thursday.
