London mayor Sadiq Khan is following the lead of his New York City counterpart, Zohran Mamdani, and calling for Benjamin Netanyahu to be arrested. If the Israeli prime minister were to visit London, Khan said, he would lobby Andy Burnham’s government to “make sure the law is enforced”. Netanyahu, who Khan called a “perpetrator of genocide”, is wanted by the international criminal court, which issued an arrest warrant for him in 2024.
