I’ve never let my kid watch her stuff because I found the faces and voices she dies in her videos unnerving. I guess it has to do with helping kids comprehend stuff as they’re learning? Anyway, I instinctively applied that reaction to generally disliking her. That held for years. Lately, though, I’m happy to say she’s been proving my assumptions dead wrong as she actively uses her platform for some good.
Oh her content is actually science backed, I agree it’s weird to watch as an adult, but everything is based on speech pathology research to help kids learn.
Yeah my parent has always given me the hard sell on her, but I pushed back based entirely on vibes. All signs point to me being dead wrong, though.
The faces are usually part of teaching young kids how to make the right mouth shapes when saying words I think.
