The attack occurred while the Civil Defense team was carrying out humanitarian work following an earlier strike in the Al Barid neighborhood in the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
“The Israeli enemy targeted the area where the paramedics were working, causing minor injuries to two of them, in addition to damaging the team’s ambulance,” the Lebanese ANN news agency said, adding that Ali al-Taher Hill, located on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, was also subjected to heavy Israeli artillery shelling.
Rescue teams recovered the bodies of three people inside the town of Zawtar al-Gharbiya in Nabatieh governorate, while search and rescue operations continue after the Lebanese Army deployed to the town two days ago.

Since the start of the Zionist offensive on March 2, the Israeli occupation army has killed 4,328 people and wounded 12,232 others, according to data from the Health Emergency Operations Center as of July 22.
Currently, the Israeli military continues to carry out airstrikes, artillery attacks and controlled explosions against various locations in the south of the country.
On Tuesday, the Lebanese Army deployed to the town of Zawtar al-Gharbiya, one of the three areas included in the withdrawal agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
According to the framework agreement signed by the three parties, the Lebanese Armed Forces will gradually assume responsibility for “full and effective security” in what have been designated as “pilot zones,” from which Israeli troops will “gradually” withdraw after occupying them during their invasion of the Mediterranean country.
However, the Israeli withdrawal will be contingent on the “successful disarmament of non-state armed groups and the dismantling of their infrastructure in those areas,” referring to the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah.
