Two people were detained at Tuesday night’s city council meeting in Houston, after around a dozen protesters disrupted the meeting for several minutes, chanting “Justice for Lorenzo!” – referring to Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, the 52-year-old father and homebuilder who’d lived in Houston for 35 years, who was shot and killed by an ICE agent on July 7 while driving to pick up his construction crew for work. The detained protesters were escorted out of the meeting and were later released without charge.
